Susie Thompson, LMSW, RPS is the Executive Director of The Jude House, Inc., bringing more than 15 years of experience in human services leadership. She leads with a trauma‑informed, justice‑centered approach grounded in equity, innovation, and systems change.​

Susie holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Salisbury University and is currently a doctoral candidate at Simmons University, where she is completing her Doctorate in Social Work, with an anticipated graduation in August 2026. Her doctoral focus includes family reintegration, adaptive leadership, and community‑based healing.​

Under her leadership, The Jude House, Inc. has expanded services, strengthened organizational culture, and integrated creative, evidence‑based programming. Susie’s work bridges clinical practice, organizational leadership, and advocacy, with a mission to break generational cycles of addiction and create pathways to recovery, dignity, and belonging.

Cari Guthrie is a licensed social worker working in community mental health for over 35 years. She received her MSW 1995. She has worked for Johns Hopkins and Medstar Montgomery before
going to Threshold Services which is now Cornerstone Montgomery. She started as a Residential Counselor and was promoted multiple times currently serving as CEO for 13 years. 
Throughout her tenure, Cari has played a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission, implementing evidence-based practices like Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders,
Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She has also been instrumental in developing a robust staff training and orientation program, navigating two significant mergers, and securing over $6 million in community bond funding to renovate commercial and residential properties as well as $10 million in SAMHSA grants to become a
Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). She has seen the organization through 2 mergers, growing to a $37 million budget, with 430 employees and serving over 3000 people across 4 Counties. 

Outside of her professional life, Cari enjoys reading, cooking, watching movies and sports, walking her dachshund, Percy and spending time with her son and daughter. She is a passionate
traveler and loves listening to live jazz music. These hobbies allow her to recharge and bring fresh creativity and perspective to her leadership role.

commitment to transparency and open decision-making continues to push the boundaries of the field, ensuring that Cornerstone Montgomery remains a leader in mental health care.
